Lez was recently asked by successful loughbrarian Jimmy Thomas - owner of Thomas Automatics, Beacon Bingo and Showboat - for a meeting, as he had watched this campaign with interest.

Jimmy later invited Lez to speak one sunday to 500 of his customers, in order to explain to some of the people of Charnwood his ambitions.

" It was soon apparent to me that the feelings in Charnwood overspill into other areas, Whitwick, Coalville and Kegworth people also wanted to pledge their support and offered their signatures.
Unfortunately these signatures don't count but I still came away with at least 200 more supporters and as many again that would have signed if they were part of Charnwood Borough's electoral register.
This just shows to me the support across the board - even when signatures don't count"
